N. Macedonian PM Seeks Greece's Help in Negotiations With EU

The Prime Minister of Northern Macedonia, Zoran Zaev, has asked this Thursday for Greece's help in the negotiations with the EU, acknowledging that the neighbouring country is a strategic partner.

Zaev is convinced that he will find a solution with Bulgaria to lift the veto on the negotiations with his country.

A day ago, the new Foreign Minister of Bulgaria, Svetlan Stojev, said that the interim government would not change its position towards Northern Macedonia, by leaving the veto in force.

"I think we will find a solution with Bulgaria, we need help from Greece, which is now our strategic partner. Greece is very vocal in the European Council through Prime Minister Mitsotakis, through Minister Dendias. They are very focused on leading the process of integration of the Western Balkans into the European Union," said the Prime Minister of Northern Macedonia, Zoran Zaev.
