The Ministry of Health and Social Protection informed on Tuesday that 50 citizens have tested positive of Covid-19 last 24-hours from 2956 tests done nationwide by public and private hospitals as infection curve remains downward.

Unfortunately four victims were registered past 24-hours bringing the total number of the victims since the beginning of pandemic to 2420. 

Since the beginning of the epidemic, 131,803 citizens have resulted positive for the virus. On the good news, the number of recovered patients remains high. In the last 24 hours, there were 1020 people who beat the virus taking the overall number of recovered patients to 119,061.

According to the Health Ministry the situation at the two COVID hospitals and the regional hospitals of Durres, Shkodra and Elbasan betters day by day. These health institutions are currently providing treatment to 96 patients, 8 of whom are in intensive care and 5 have been put on ventilators.
