German Embassy in Albania has provided important information on the rules that citizens who want to travel to Germany must follow, due to the coronavirus situation. 

The Embassy announces that all those who will travel from Albania to Germany will have to enter the mandatory 10-day quarantine. 

Moreover, the Embassy had a council for German citizens who want to travel to Albania: "If you decide to travel to Albania despite this warning, keep in mind that the German Embassy in Albania can not help you return to Germany."

"Current important information for trips between Albania and Germany: 

Warning for trips to Albania continues to be valid! For incoming trips to Germany, the quarantine rules apply and NEW: Electronic entry registration!

Travel warning to Albania conditioned by COVID-19 continues to be valid!

If you are planning to travel to Albania during this winter, please consider the following: The Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs further warns of all unnecessary travel to Albania (including holidays, home leave, visits to relatives etc.). If you decide to travel to Albania despite this warning, keep in mind that the German Embassy in Albania cannot assist you in returning to Germany if during your stay other restrictive measures are taken for the travels and/or the public life. Please also keep in mind that in Albania medical care is not guaranteed according to the German standard.

During incoming trips from Albania to Germany, the obligation for 10-day quarantine is almost always valid.

Upon entering Germany - whether traveling by plane, land or bus or private vehicle - while returning from Albania or another risk area with Covid-19: 
 

You must register at www.einreiseanmeldung.de before entering and keep the registration certificate with you.

After entering Germany go directly to your destination and be placed under a 10-day self-isolation/quarantine regime (in most cases quarantine can no longer be replaced by a test done directly before or after entering Germany); You can get more accurate information about each federal land from the health center, which is responsible for your destination in Germany. 

Important: quarantine rules apply only to those persons who are currently allowed to travel to Germany. They do not imply the abolition or easing of incoming travel restrictions," German Embassy to Albania announced.
