Prime Minister Edi Rama promised this Monday that there will be no tax on salaries up to ALL 40.000 starting from January 1, 2022. Currently, the salary without taxes is ALL 30.000. 

While presenting the program of the Socialist Party, "Wages, taxes and business", the head of the government added that the profit tax will be reduced for those persons who receive salaries up to ALL 2.5 million.

"The only force today that can make this difficult thing reality is us, me and the Socialist Party. We give Albanians a vision for 2030. Our program is based on our daily reality, while their program is to achieve their own goals. Their program is a mockery of the millennium, according to the expression "let's fool someone". We have a governing program to implement the vision "Albania 2030", with a plan to attract everyone. 

We want the votes to continue building the new road for Albanians, open to justice, education, health. They have chosen the old way of campaigning, with the motto and promises "Grab what you catch". Today we have the minimum wage ALL 30.000. We want to bring it up to ALL 40.000. From January 1, 2022, we will remove the tax on salary up to ALL 40.000. It turns out that 63% of employees will not pay taxes for the state. Profit tax is reduced for those who receive up to ALL 2.5 million. This measure enters into force on January 1, 2022 ", said Rama.
