In 2022, the number of murders in Albania was the lowest in the last three decades, according to Prime Minister Edi Rama. In a Facebook post, Rama shared a photo of a graph showing the numbers. 

"A meaningful fact that gives us a flagrant example of the gap between the deafening media echo and the reality of the continuous decline of crime. In 2022 we had the lowest number of murders in the last three decades. 

REMEMBER: When we started the effort against crime, the murders were 112 in the space of a year and as a rule the average was 100 a year. It is known that the worst is quickly forgotten. The good never ends and on the other hand, undoubtedly, there is still a lot to do", writes Rama.
