For the first time in almost 5 months, the number of monthly murders for 2023 is higher than in 2022. 

It was the execution of Arjan Gosa in Kavajë, in front of his father, by Habib Rexha, which brought the total number of murders for this year to 15, while by the end of May 2022, fourteen murders had been committed in our country. 

The murders in 2023 would start at the end of January, where Xhevit Sinani executed his wife and brother in Gramsh. 

January and February of this year would end with one murder each, as on February 17, Hamdi Bylykbashi would kill his son in Maliq, who tried to throw him into a well. 

Meanwhile, in the first two months of 2022, a total of 7 murders would be recorded in Albania, where the most serious was that of Erion Çela, who was mistakenly killed in a bar in Don Bosko. 

The month of March, with a total of 5 murders, also marked the turning point that would affect the increase in the number of murders for this year. The heaviest balance was that of March 1, where Dan Hutra executed 3 women and seriously injured 3 others. Later, on March 12, Mimoza Paja, a bartender at Fation Murataj's bar, was killed again by mistake in Don Bosko. While the peak was marked on March 27, where the Top Channel building was the object of an unprecedented attack with a Kalashnikov, killing the security guard Pal Kola. The month of March would end with the double murder in Kavaja, where Edmond Gosa shot Altin Rexha with a knife and the latter shot him with a firearm. Both remained dead, which led to the start of the blood feud saga between the two tribes. 

During the month of April, our country counted 4 murders, one of which was mafia-type. It is about the revenge execution of the businessman Ardian Nikulaj, who was killed with 7 bullets in his bar, with the execution being organized by 6 people, including a Portuguese, 4 Englishmen and an Albanian-British. 

The murders did not spare the children either. A 15-year-old lost his life in Gramsh, following a fight that started on social networks and involved some minors who had cold weapons with them.

While, regarding the executions committed by criminal groups, 2022 had registered 4 such -Erion Cela, Nazmi Bandulla, Iljaz Cali and Arben Merkuri. While until May this year, 3 such murders have been recorded -Mimoza Paja, Pal Kola and Ardian Nikulaj.
