Part of Criminal Group, Wanted Man Arrested in Pukë

The 23-year-old Sokol Myftaraj is arrested in Pukë for organizing illegal immigration within a criminal group. Meanwhile, it is reported that the young man will be extradited to Italy. 

The 23-year-old was declared an international wanted man, because the Court of Trieste, Italy, has issued an arrest warrant for him, for the criminal offenses of "Illegal Immigration" and "Participation in a criminal group", provided by the Italian Criminal Code. 

"The operation was carried out by the Pukë Police Station, in cooperation with FAST Albanian and Interpol Tirana, for the capture of a citizen announced as an international wanted. 

Accused by the Court of Trieste, Italy, of organizing illegal immigration within a criminal group, the 23-year-old is arrested with the intention of extradition to Italy. 

As a result of research supported by police intelligence, for the localization, capture and arrest with the purpose of extradition, of citizens wanted internationally for various criminal offenses, the specialists for the Investigation of Crimes of the Pukë Police Station, thanks to the cooperation with FAST Albanian and Interpol Tirana, have organized and finalized the coded police operation "Verdikti", within which, the citizen S. M., 23 years old, resident in the village of Blerim, Fushë Arrëz, was located and provisionally arrested. 

The 23-year-old was declared an international wanted man, because the Court of Trieste, Italy, has issued an arrest warrant for him, for the criminal offenses of "Illegal Immigration" and "Participation in a criminal group", provided by the Italian Criminal Code. 

Interpol Tirana continues the cooperation with Interpol Rome, for the extradition of the citizen S. M., to Italy," the police said.
