The event that occurred in Peqin this Tuesday morning where a person was killed with a firearm seems to have been pushed by a conflict that started 5 years ago.

The suspected perpetrator of the event Leonard Bashaliu stated before the police that he shot with a pistol in the direction of Ylber Xhahysa because 5 years ago the latter scratched his car, and this brought a conflict between them that has then escalated today into the use of the weapon. 

45-year-old Ylber Xhahysa was taken to hospital where he could not survive the injuries received, while the police have made possible the arrest of the perpetrator. The investigative team is at the scene and is working to fully clarify its circumstances.
