Prime Minister Edi Rama announced Thursday that in July 2024, Pogradec will host the Formula 1 World Water Race. 

Through the social networks, the Albanian Head of Government revealed that this is the forerunner of Formula 1 in car racing, which will come to Elbasan in a few years. 

"GOOD MORNING and with FORMULA 1 of the world water races, which comes to Pogradec in July 2024, as a precursor to FORMULA 1 in car races, which will come to Elbasan in a few years, when we have completed the last circuit all tests required, have a nice day 

*43 teams from all over the world will turn Pogradec into the world capital of water sports for 7 days, because Tourism Albania has already risen to a new level", revealed the Premier.
