Powerful Earthquake Strikes Greece

A 4.8 Richter earthquake in the area of Lokrida Fthiotida, Greece occurred at around 15:30 on Thursday. The shaking was especially felt in Athens. According to the Geodynamic Institute, the earthquake occurred 13 km southwest of Atalanti, while the focal depth was 13.6 km. 

This tremor was followed by two smaller ones in less than 10 minutes. The first was 2.5 Richter 9 km NW of Orchomenos and the second 2.6 Richter 5 km SW of Atalanti.
