Premier Vows to Increase Nurses’ Salaries by 40% in Third Mandate
Prime Minister Edi Rama has announced Wednesday that during his third term of office the salaries of nurses in Albania will increase by 40 percent as he condemned the corrupt healthcare professionals.
During his speech on the International Nurses Day, PM Rama also emphasized that the fight against the coronavirus outbreak is not over yet, while acknowledging the work that the nurses are doing to vaccinate the citizens of Albania every day.
"I want to tell you again even today, when the elections are over, that the increase in the salaries of nurses and nurses has been considerable, but insufficient.
Discipline, correctness, seriousness, professionalism, is impressive, therefore my most sincere respect for this fact and indisputably, this fact gives us a lot of energy and a lot of confidence that in the whole process of health transfer, we will rely on people like you.
We know very well that the vast majority of nurses in Albania are heroes, not low people who put their hands in the pockets of family members to do their homework in relation to patients.
Do not lose the sense of the extraordinary work that you are doing, do not forget for a second and you should be proud, where you leave home to go to work, and it falls to you to return home. Because, what you are doing for the Albanian people, is historic", proclaimed Rama.
