The well-known sculptor Agim Rada has passed away at the age of 70. The sculptor was hospitalized for 2 days. He had been suffering for a long time and was being treated for a lung problem, but he could not win the battle for his life.

Agim Rada realized the statue of Albanian national hero, Gjergji Kastrioti Skanderbeg, which is located in the central park of Budapest.

The sculptor was born on May 24, 1953 in Tirana. His works include statues, sculpted in bronze of figures such as Marin Barleti, Gjergj Elez Alia, Onufrit, and Petro Marko.

"My creativity has never been politicized, the figures have always been enlightened figures of the nation, who have not served the politics of the day, who today are in the May of Olympus, tomorrow they fall to the bottom.

I have made figures that have stood the test of time, the illumination they produced. We are very indebted to our country for this. Therefore, until I breathe, I am at the service of the nation and these figures", he said.
