MP of the Democratic Party (DP) that represents Vau i Dejës area, Zef Hila has expressed Monday his objections towards the platform proposed by Head of the DP parliamentary Group, Enkelejd Alibeaj that aims at the reunion on Democrats.

On a social media statement, Hila underlined that the proposed platform leaves a lot of loopholes and creates "deadlocks", which do not solve but worsen the situation in the ranks of Democrats.

In his opinion, all Democrats must be united under a single Democratic Party logo and the free vote of any Democrat is the basis for the development and strengthening of the Democratic Party.

“Dear Democrats of the Municipality of Vau Dejes and the Region of Shkodra,

As your representative in the Albanian Parliament, part of the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party, I feel my personal obligation to explain to all democrats in the Shkodra Region, my position regarding the current situation in the Democratic Party of Albania.

The difficult situation, in which the only force with a democratic spirit is going through, born in the 90s to bring change in Albania, today needs Union, and no "disruption".

We are all familiar with the proposed platform, which leaves a lot of space and creates "deadlocks", which do not solve but worsen the situation in the ranks of Democrats.

As your voice and representative of the Democrats, I feel obliged to inform you of my position in the face of this situation:

1-      The parliamentary group that emerged from the elections of April 25, 2021 should be unifying, starting with the repeal of any decision to expel the deputies of the parliamentary group.

2-      All Democrats must be united under a single Democratic Party logo.

3-      The free vote of any Democrat is the basis for the development and strengthening of the Democratic Party.

This is my attitude towards the Democrats, every exclusionary requirement for every Democrat deepens the crisis while today is just the time to unite around the values ??of the Democrats”, said MP Hila.
