A sailing ship that started from Italy and headed for Croatia, was found abandoned this Thursday by the services of the Spille Border Police Station.

The boat was found to be making uncontrolled movements and then got stuck on the sand, a few meters from the shore in the village of Karpen, Kavajë.

Police did not find anyone inside the boat, but they seized a gun, ammunition, 2 mobile phones, 1 laptop and the documents of the boat that were inside.

Officers seized also a German passport with the initials F.R., 85 years old.

The Albanian authorities were put in motion and requested verification from the authorities in Italy.
