Socialist Member of Parliament, Bashkim Fino, died Monday weeks after testing positive of Covid-19, vice Prime Minister, Erjon Brace announced. Fino, 58-years-old was infected weeks ago as his health deteriorated the last week.

He is one of the oldest figures of the Socialist Party and member since 1997 of this political party.

His career culminated in this year when he was elected Prime Minister of the National Reconciliation government.

During these years he had many important political posts in socialist government as Minister of the Local government 1998, vice Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism in 2002.
