The Special Prosecution against Corruption (SPAK) seized ALL 14.3 million, 15.500 Euro and 42,300 dollars of former Health Minister, Ilir Beqaj and hi collaborators as part of the investigations for the abuse of EU funds.

SPAK also seized three vehicles on the property of Ermal Kurtulajt and Elton Marini and 19.4% of the shares of the company "Albanian Food and Hospitality Services".

These measures were taken due to the ongoing investigations since 2023 where Beqaj and his collaborators are being investigated for passive and active corruption of the high officials, non-declaration of assets, fraud and violation of the equality of participants in public tenders or auctions.
