Court of Lezha has sentenced 3 persons to 1 year in prison each, in relation to the alienation of properties in the area of ??"Rana e Hedhun" in Shengjin, the case against which was separated from the Prosecution, as they are not in Albania. 

Vasil Frroku, Martin Frroku and Ndue Frroku were found guilty of the criminal offense "Forgery of documents". 

After examining the case on the merits, Judge Elsa Ulliri concluded that the three brothers had consumed elements of the criminal offense for which they had been charged and sentenced them in absentia. 

Vasil Frroku, Martin Frroku and Ndue Frroku, were part of the property alienation scheme in the area of ??"Rana e Hedhun" in Shengjin in the role of land beneficiary. 

They were investigated as part of the same case for which the former mayor of Lezha, Fran Frrokaj, was convicted. 

The case for the brothers was divided in court, because they were not in Albania and were not detained like the rest of the accused. Frrokaj and others were also convicted in the Court of First Instance, but the decision in this case has not yet become final, as the case is under consideration by the Court of Appeals in Shkodra. The three brothers have benefited from 1 thousand square meters of property in the coastal areas of Lezha. 

The Court of First Instance in Lezha in September 2020 found Frrokaj guilty and sentenced him to 4 years in prison for "Abuse of Duty", while 16 other people were convicted along with him, including Gjon Ndoka, the uncle of the former MP of Socialist Party. 

However, the decision was overturned by the Court of Appeals in Shkodra for an irregular process. 

Following the prosecution's recourse, the Supreme Court remanded the case for retrial to the Shkodra Court of Appeals. Investigations for the alienation of properties in the area of ??"Rana e Hedhun" in Shengjin have started in 2017, when the Prosecutor was denounced the alienation of 234 thousand 548 square meters of state land ranishte. 

Investigations into the alienation of properties in the coastal area of ??Shengjin began in 2017, after a citizen denounced that his land in the Mortgage resulted in the name of several other persons. 

After the investigation, the Lezha Prosecutor's Office managed to find out that 234 thousand square meters of land had been alienated through forgery of documents. 

Lezha Municipality and Lezha Regional Council through relevant official documents, despite the fact that in reality (lands) are mountains and sands have confirmed them as lands of the category "Field" and "Orchard". 

According to the seizure decision the parcels were registered in the name of persons who were not entitled to land in that area.
