The Independent Qualification Commission, decided to discharge from duty this Wednesday the prosecutor of Tirana, Ornela Rrumbullaku. 

The decision was taken by the judicial body headed by Pamela Qirko, with Alma Faskaj as rapporteur and Xhensila Pinen as member.

During the hearing last Monday, Rrumbullaku gave explanations for the negative balances in large values ??found in the source of the creation of the husband's shares in some private companies.

She contested the findings claiming that the husband had not invested that money, but had agreed with the partners to contribute with legal consultancy.

The round was evaluated positively for the purity of the image and no significant problems were identified in the professional criteria.

Ornela Rrumbullaku completed her studies as a Magistrate in 2006 and after a period of internship at the Tirana Prosecutor's Office, she was appointed to the Kavajë District Prosecutor's Office. In 2019, Rrumbullaku was appointed as an advisor to the High Prosecution Council. Until the moment of dismissal from office, she exercises her function in the Prosecutor's Office of the General Jurisdiction in Tirana.
