Vlora Triport Given with Concession for Ten Years

The Government has approved in the last meeting of the Council of Ministers the concession contract for the construction and maintenance of the Vlora Triport.

The approval came after the announcement of the winner of the concession last year, a consortium of 5 operators and the contract is expected to have a duration of 10 years with an investment value of 40 million euros.

This port is currently for fishing only. But with its future transformation it is expected to serve as an integrated port for freight processing service and passenger and vehicle transport, based on the new piers to be built on it.

According to the project, it is envisaged that Troport of Vlora will become an elite yacht port, giving further impetus to the development of tourism in that area, where it is expected to accommodate a minimum of 400 yachts and boats.

According to the government decision, the concession contract with the Ministry and the winning consortium will start implementation immediately after its publication in the Official Gazette.

Funding for this project according to the government will start to be paid by the state after the investment is fully completed and the port has started operating.
