Waste Management Tender for TAP Pipeline

The Albanian Gas Service Company (AGSco), which is in charge of maintaining the natural gas Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) on Albanian territory, opened on Wednesday a waste management tender with a budget of 65 million leks ($681,000/626,000 euro).

Prospective bidders should be able to remove waste from AGSco and TAP’s locations, transport them to a licensed waste plant, process and dispose of them in compliance with regulatory requirements from the contract signing until September 30, 2025, AGSco said in a tender notice. Offers can be submitted until April 5.

TAP, a key segment of the Southern Gas Corridor, transports natural gas from Azerbaijan to Europe through northern Greece, Albania, and the Adriatic Sea to southern Italy.

The Albanian government holds 75% of the Albanian Gas Service Company. The remaining stake is owned by Italian state energy infrastructure company Snam, according to the Albanian business register.
