Police have cracked down thia Thursday on a case of adaptation of premises for the cultivation of narcotic plants, by means of lamps and other devices that were illegally supplied with electricity in Vora.

As a result of this operation, the author was declared wanted, his wife was prosecuted for not reporting the crime.

An employee of OSHEE was also arrested for abuse of office.

In the meantime, the procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana, for further actions.

"Services of the Police Station No. 7, following the work for the prevention, identification and suppression of criminal activity in the field of narcotics, based on the information provided on the operative route, that in Marikaj, a citizen had adapted an environment (warehouse) , for the cultivation of cannabis narcotic plants in laboratory conditions, organized and finalized the coded police operation "Marikaj 2".

In the framework of this operation, citizen K. K., 46 years old, was declared wanted, as well as the free proceedings for citizen A. K., 44 years old, both residents of Marikaj.

Also, citizen L. Sh., 53 years old, with the duty of OSHEE's invoicer, was arrested in the act for the criminal offense of "Abuse of duty".

During the inspection of an environment (warehouse), in use by the citizen K. K., the Police services have identified an environment adapted for the cultivation of cannabis, by means of various electrical devices that were supplied with illegal electricity connections.

The citizen A. K. was aware of this criminal activity and did not report the crime, while the OSHEE employee, citizen L. Sh., did not find the illegal connection of electricity in this apartment.

During the operation, 1035 narcotic cannabis plants cultivated in pots and 907 narcotic cannabis seedlings cultivated in cubes, ventilators, platforms for the distribution of electric current and other equipment used for the cultivation of narcotic plants were found and seized", informed the police.
