What Happened during 2 Hours of Opposition's Protest

The opposition protest ended after about 120 minutes. It started from "Skanderbeg" square and ended at "Martyrs of Nation" Boulevard, but without breaking the security perimeter established by the police for the EU-Western Balkans summit.

Thousands of citizens participated in the opposition protest, equipped with banners in their hands and flags of the European Union and Western countries.

During the march on the Boulevard, an unexpected incident occurred, where the chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, was punched in the face by an aggressor present there.

The aggressor was immediately caught by Berisha's sympathizers and was escorted first to the DP headquarters and then to the police. Despite the punch and the blood on his face, Berisha continued with his agenda, where he climbed the podium twice to give a speech, once at the start and once at the end.

At the opposition protest, the chairman of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, also gave a short speech, who, like Berisha, emphasized the importance of the countries of the union becoming familiar with the problems Albania is facing and, according to them, with the corruption of the Rama government.

The participants who spoke during the opposition protest highlighted many of the problems that the country is facing during the government of Edi Rama and emphasized that the only way to change is the departure of the current government.

We recall that the protest lasted for about two hours and ended with a speech by Berisha on the steps of the headquarters of the Democratic Party, where he promised the Democrats that they will do everything to overthrow Rama from power.
