Tense situation in the north of Kosovo has caused the cancellation of the large military training activity "Defender Europe 2023". 

This was announced by the Ministry of Defense of Kosovo, while as a result of the violent protests the day before, 25 KFOR soldiers were injured.

"We inform you that due to the situation in the north of the country, the activity planned for today (DV DAY), within the international exercise "Defender Europe '23", is cancelled", as quoted from the announcement. 

Since Friday, Serbs in northern Kosovo have been protesting against the new Mayors chosen in this year's elections.
