Vice-Chairman of Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI), Petrit Vasili has called on SPAK to investigate EUR 2 billion investment at Durres Port. 

According to Vasili, this is the largest corruption affair in Albania, in which the government, the parliament, as well as domestic and international mafia interests are involved. 

Vasili doesn't spare even international officials in Albania, who, according to him, are staying silent whenever there is a corruption affair taking place in our country.

"Manipulated justice, not a word about the mafia affair of 2 billion euros at the Port of Durres! The port of Durres and the affair of 2 billion euros is in the hands of shell companies registered in Fiscal Paradise, confirming everything that was suspected from the beginning. An investment of 2 billion euros very dark and severely compromised in every way. 

A strategic investment of tremendous importance in the hands of the worst possible, creating endless spaces for money laundering by the government and a gigantic and uncontrolled corruption in its favor. 

US Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen said a few days ago that "banning the use of tax havens will allow countries to compete based on economic principles." The Agreement for the Port of Durres openly violates the Stabilization and Association Agreement and precisely Article 71 points 1.2.3 as well as Article 74. 

That is why the EU stated a few months ago: “The EU is aware of the agreement concluded in November last year between Albania and the United Arab Emirates, which includes a major redevelopment of the port of Durres. The EU has asked the Albanian authorities to provide clarifications to assess the compatibility of the agreement with the Stabilization and Association Agreement between the EU and Albania. " 

The concern is very great and everyone was waiting for the reaction of SPAK. They waited, as has become fashionable in Albania, for any reaction from the internationals 
"Surprisingly" pathetic, indifferent and "very silent" whenever it comes to serious corruption issues in Albania. 

The SPAK had to urgently launch an investigation mainly into this gigantic scandal where the implications are all-encompassing, from the government, parliament and the dark national and international mafia world. Closing the eyes can not save either the government or the SPAK itself from this huge responsibility. Today, the variety shows of Directed Justice, which starts the performances in Lushnja, travels to Pogradec and stops at the fish crates, they can not deceive anyone.
