‘Upgrade of Maqellarë Road Promotes Tourism’
The urban transformation extended to every city and town of the country, not only shortens distances and facilitates the reaching of destinations, but also frees up the tourist potential, in the areas where the tourism of inns and outdoor sports have recently been developing, Prime Minister Edi Rama said in a social post on Tuesday.
The Peshkopi- Maqellarë road, which connects the Arber Road with the center of the Dibër district will significantly shorten the distance from the capital, cutting the travel time to only one hour, as well as it will promote the traffic flow of visitors and tourists in this area.
Prime Minister Edi Rama shared on social networks photos from the construction site of this road segment, where work is continuing at a high pace.
"On the construction site of the Maqellarë-Peshkopi road, the works continue, where the underpass of the Dovolan village road and the stream system of the Herebel village have been completed, along with the construction of two bridges in these villages. This road segment, part of the Arber road, will shorten the distance, making the road from the exit of Tirana to Peshkopi to be covered in 1 hour," said Rama.
