1225 Services Provided Online in Albania Since May 1

1225 public services are provided online on the e-albania portal, while as of May 1, only 5% of public services are still offered at the counters, where the citizen must physically appear.

But while the decision to switch to most online services as part of the digital revolution has eliminated long queues, elderly people are having difficulty. Some are turning to offices that use the e-albania logo, where a paid service is offered.

"I do not know, I went to the chancellery, there they took ALL 400", says a citizen.

But the use of the e-albania logo for commercial purposes is prohibited.

"The e-albania logo is registered and patented in the General Directorate of Industrial Property and the use by third parties other than the national agency of the information society constitutes a violation of the law.

The State Inspectorate of Market Surveillance has launched controls throughout the country to identify entities that are abusing by taking advantage under the e-albania logo. Violation of industrial property rights is punishable by a fine of ALL 100,000 to 500,000. Citizens who have difficulty using the technology may be assisted by employees who are physically present at the counters.

They will have an assistance, in the counters that remain open, services that can not be provided electronically will be received, the novelty now is the non-appearance physically to get a copy of the document, but still help remains available," said Nevila Repishti, director of e-Albania.
