Three people were arrested in the Port of Durres attempting to transport 26 kg of cannabis-infused chocolate in a bus line coming from Italy.

A manager and two drivers ended up handcuffed, while the drug was found in a diary bucket.

“Three citizens were arrested in flagrantia for the criminal offense 'Drug trafficking committed in collaboration.'

About 26 kg of suspected cannabis-infused chocolate were seized. The Border Police in cooperation with the Drug Investigation Section in the Local Police Directorate of Durres, as a result of increased measures to prevent, identify and crack down on criminal activity in the field of drug trafficking, arrested the citizens:

S.D., 31 years old, resident in Durres (manager);

S.S., 59 years old, resident in Permet (driver);

Y.K., 49 years old, resident in Tirana (driver);

The materials were forwarded to the Durres District Prosecutor's Office," police announced.
