Heist at Airport, Admir Murataj - Organizer of Three other Robberies

The head of the thieves gang, Admir Murataj who organized the theft of EUR 10 million in Rinas was killed on Tuesday, following a fight with police.

Murataj is a notorious name for police as his gang and him are responsible for three other thefts, stealing millions of Euros during four year time. Murataj was notorious also in Greece as he escaped prison of Trikala in 2013, together with ten other dangerous Albanians.

Admir Murataj had 13 identities, but his real one is Admir Nikaj. He was from Tropoja, but lived in Preza area of Tirana.

-The heist at “Stacioni i Trenit” area, where CHF 900,000, GBP 800,000, and EUR 16,000 were stolen. Admir Murataj was the head of the gang, while other members are still unidentified.

-The heist at “Laknas” area , where GBD 2 million, USD 800,000 and other currency were stolen. Admir Murataj was the head of the gang, while other member of the gang were Dash Kupa, Ernest Kupa, Neim Avdylaj, Ditjon Memlika and Admir Cerpja.

-The heist at “Tirana-Rinas”, where EUR 2,400,000, USD 200,000, and other currency were stolen. Admir Murataj was the head of the gang, while other members of the gang were Dash Kupa, Ernest Kupa, Neim Avdulaj, Ditjon Memlika, Admir Cerpja, Aleksander Murataj and Dritan Sinani, now arrested.
