Alvin Berisha Safe, Rescue Operation Details

Alvin Berisha, the 11-years-old boy Albanian National, was finally rescued by the Syrian camp Al Hol this Thursday.

The first photo of him safe, was made public by the Albanian President's Advisor, journalist, Ilir Kulla, early this morning, proving he is safe and ready to turn back home.

Alvin leaved the border between Syria and Lebanon where he met even the Albanian Interior Minister, Sander Lleshaj and is expected to take the flight to Rome, while with him is even a team from the “Le Iene” an Italian investigative show.

Earlier the Egyptian Newspaper 'Elfagr.com', wrote two days ago that Albania successfully realized the rescue of Alvin Berisha, adding that the Albanian President, Ilir Meta supervised personally the operation.

"Albania in cooperation with the Italian authorities has successfully released an Albanian child who traveled from Italy to Syria a few years ago with his mother to join the terrorist organization ISIS. The child was transported from northern Syria to a safe place in Damascus in coordination with the Syrian Red Crescent. It is known that the president of Albania, Ilir Meta, who has personally supervised the operation, with his continued interest has expressed concern about the return of Albanian children whose parents joined ISIS in Syria, whose number is thought to be high,' wrote the newspaper.

Alvin’s father, Afrim Berisha, has been searching for his son since 2014, when his Albanian mother abandoned the family and departed to Syria.
