SPAK Takes as Defendants former President Ilir Meta and His Ex Wife

The Special Prosecution against Corruption (SPAK) took as defendants the former President, Ilir Meta and his ex wife, former MP, Monika Kryemadhi on corruption charges. money laundry and concealment of wealth.

SPAK said that the accuses were communicated to the couple. They both reacted for the media after this decision.

From jail, Meta said that he can't wait until the beginning of the trial to prove his innocence. According to him, SPAK only obeys to prime minister's Edi Rama orders.
