41 Polish Tourists Struck by Food Poisoning in Vlora

41 Polish tourists, 7 of whom are children, were presented to the Vlora emergency room on Friday afternoon with signs of food poisoning.

As reported, they arrived in Vlora around 10:00 a.m. where they boarded a ship and returned to Vlora around 6:00 p.m. 

Many of them presented health problems with symptoms of food poisoning while they received medical help in the emergency room of the hospital. The investigation has already started to determine the cause of the poisoning, whether it came from the food consumed on the ship or other causes 

"Around 8:10 p.m., 41 Polish citizens (tourists), who are out of danger for life, presented themselves to the Vlora hospital for medical help, with symptoms of food poisoning. 

From the preliminary verifications, it appears that these citizens, during Friday, have been with a guide, on a tourist boat, to the island of Sazan. 

The investigative group set up for this case, in cooperation with NFA (National Food Authority) specialists and under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, continues the work to determine the cause of the poisoning of these citizens," the police informed.
