A woman was arrested this Sunday in Elbasan after was caught photographing her vote.

At the request of the Elbasan Prosecutor's Office, the citizen M.C. was arrested for the criminal offense of 'Violation of the secrecy of the vote'.

According to the prosecution in Elbasan a notification was received that in a voting center. The Voting Center Commission had found a citizen who had photographed the ballot paper.

"Immediately after receiving the notification, an investigative group was sent to the scene, the above citizen was identified, the mobile phone was seized, the relevant acts were administered and statements were taken from persons who had knowledge.

At the conclusion of the preliminary actions taken, the citizen with the initials M.C. was arrested in flagrante delicto, suspected of being the author of the criminal offense of "Violation of the secrecy of voting" provided for by article 327/1 of the Penal Code," Elbasan Prosecution informed.
