76 Kg of Drugs Seized and Two Albanians Arrested in Sorisole

The Milan State Police arrested a 37-year-old Albanian citizen in Milan last Tuesday and, in Sorisole (BG), a 30-year-old fellow countryman, both with criminal records and illegal on the national territory, for possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing in concert. The police officers of the Milan Flying Squad, following a control operation in the areas bordering the Milanese territory, identified the thirty-seven-year-old Albanian citizen who, through the use of rented vans, always different, was believed to presumably deliver cocaine to various parts of Northern Italy. On Tuesday morning, with the help of the officers of the Highway Police of the Arcore Subsection, the police stopped the thirty-seven-year-old on board a van near the A7 toll booth in Assago (MI) and, after a search, the officers found and seized a block of cocaine weighing approximately 1 kg hidden in a large air compressor stowed in the cargo area of ??the vehicle.

Furthermore, the investigators of the Anti-Drug Section found the man in possession of a set of keys to an apartment located in via Matteotti in Sorisole (BG). Inside, they found approximately 40 blocks of cocaine resting on the kitchen table and another 25 blocks hidden in the structure of the living room sofa, as well as a wad of cash for a total of 6.570 euros, material for packaging drugs, a vacuum machine, a precision scale, a scale, a notebook with the accounting of the illicit activity and a money counting machine.

During the search, inside the courtyard of the condominium, the officers saw and arrested the thirty-year-old, with a specific criminal record related to drugs, who was unable to justify his presence on site and, following a check, was found in possession of a set of keys that allowed the opening of the door of the same house of which he had full availability. Overall, the seized drugs amounted to approximately 76 kg, divided into blocks bearing various logos. By order of the public prosecutors of the Milan and Bergamo Public Prosecutors' Offices respectively, the 37-year-old citizen was taken to the Milan prison and the 30-year-old was taken to the Bergamo prison, at the disposal of the judicial authorities. The arrests were validated and the precautionary custody measure was ordered for both.
