83.7% of Albanians Consider Govt Corrupt, Democrat Says

Member of the National Council of the Democratic Party (DP), Rudina Hajdari, commented on the findings of the IDM Albania survey on Friday, and called on the citizens to denounce any abuse they face.

Referring to the data from the survey, Hajdari emphasized that 83.7% of Albanians consider the government to be corrupt, while 73% feel insecure because of the increase in crime in the country, which she mentioned as the main causes of the country's depopulation.

"Survey of IDM Albania Institute confirms that the majority of Albanian citizens consider this government to be mired in corruption.

One of the main findings of this survey, developed by professionals and supported by international partners, is: 83.1% of Albanians perceive low-level corruption as widespread or very widespread, while 83.7% perceive high-level or high-level corruption high with a similar spread.

So 83.7% of Albanians consider the government to be corrupt and there is no way it could be otherwise.

While the average Albanian is trying to close the month, between the increased prices of goods, food and services, and the lowest wages in the region, the government of Edi Rama continues to pay millions of euros for Incinerators that do not exist, for concessions that do not exist they do not provide any service to the citizen; continues to spend budget money on the Prime Minister's luxury and whims.

As if this were not enough, citizens also have to pay bribes for the services provided by the government, which are due to them by law, as the survey confirms.

Insecurity from government corruption is compounded by insecurity from crime. As the survey reveals, 73 percent of Albanians feel unsafe due to the increase in criminality in the country. This double uncertainty is also the main cause of depopulation of the country.

Democratic Party is committed to using all legal mechanisms to become a shield for citizens, who today are suffering the consequences of bad governance and corruption, and calls on every Albanian citizen to join us, denouncing abuses and participating in popular protests with we aimed to save the country from this scandalous clique", declared the Democrat.
