Albania’s coronavirus cases have hit a record daily high the country grapples with a renewed wave of infections. The Ministry of Health reported that during the last 24 hours 421 people have tested positive.

Meanwhile, the dangerous virus has killed 7 more patients, bringing to 543 the total number of victims. The good news is that 118 Albanians have recovered from the virus.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection seeks the cooperation of citizens to limit the spread of COVID19, by implementing the rules of hygiene and physical distancing. In the last 24 hours 118 citizens have been cured, bringing the number of cured to 11,696 since the beginning of the epidemic.

Currently in 3 Covid hospitals, 346 patients are being treated, 10 in intensive therapy and 4 patients are intubated.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection addresses all citizens who are confirmed or awaiting the answer to the test, to remain isolated, respecting the obligation of self-quarantine.
