Sunday's match between the Albanian National Team and England risks not being played, because the State Police has not taken over its security.

The news is announced by the Albanian Football Association (AFA) itself, which considers a catastrophe the possibility that the long-awaited match between the two countries will not be played, as well as a black stain on the image of the country.

"Today in the Albanian Football Federation has arrived a letter, from the Local Police Directorate of Tirana, with the signature of the First Director, Rebani Jaupi, which states that the structures of the Local Police Directorate Tirana do not guarantee the taking of measures before, during and after the Albania-England match, on March 28, 2021, at 18:00.

Faced with the situation where the state authorities did not react after the request of the Albanian Football Federation, dated 17.03.2021, addressed to Mrs. Dallëndyshe Bici, Head of the National Inspectorate of Territorial Defense and Mr. Mariglen Qato, Head of the Local Urban Inspectorate of the Municipality of Tirana, for the release of spaces on the perimeter of the National Stadium "Air Albania", we request urgent response of these structures.

The cancellation of the Albania-England match scheduled to be played at "Air Albania Stadium", would have catastrophic consequences for the image of our country, the National Team and in general for Albanian football", reports AFA.
