Albania-Greece Relations at Their Peak; PM Rama
The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, is present in Greece at the "DELPHI 2023, World Affairs" economic forum, where he said that the relations between Greece and Albania are now at their peak.
Rama also stated that the relations between the peoples are very good, so much so that the politicians should adapt and not become an obstacle.
"I think that relations between Albania and Greece are at their peak. We are working very closely with each other. There is a feeling that anyway the relations between the peoples are so good that the politicians have to adapt. So don't get in the way or become an obstacle," said Rama.
Then the prime minister emphasized that the area where there should be improvement is the economic one. Rama informed that the creation of a chamber of commerce is expected soon, which is a big and very important step.
Rama said that work is also being done in the energy sector and environmental protection.
"Greece has also been a very strong support for us regarding the negotiations with the EU, for us and Macedonia.
As for bilateral relations, we expect the creation of an economic chamber. I think it is a big and important step.
The truth is that the trade volume with Greece is much lower than it should be. We are also working on energy.
We are working to protect the river Vjosa. The Greek government has shown its willingness to work with us. All areas of trade can be expanded.
It is not inspiring to look at the volume of Greek investments over the years, and I believe that there is a great potential," said Rama.
