Albania, Italy Sign Agreement Reached during Donors' Conference

An agreement is signed with the Italian government to materialize the commitment that Italy made at the International Donors' Conference to provide Albania with EUR 95 million, 5 of which will be used for the reconstruction of public buildings that were destroyed by November 26 earthquake. 

The agreement was signed by the Minister of Reconstruction, Arben Ahmetaj and the Italian Ambassador, Fabricio Bucci. 

As Minister Ahmetaj explained during his speech, "The soft loan of 90 million euros will be used: In the energy sector, for the further improvement of transmission lines, in the development of the maritime economy, for the improvement of port infrastructure and fishing, in increasing the capacities for coping with natural disasters, with the improvement of the fleet and the strengthening of the human resources of the civil emergencies, where the world-famous experience of Italy and the assistance of the Italian brothers, will be a valuable help for Albania." 

Meanwhile, Fabricio Bucci said on his part that this agreement shows above all the special relationship that exists between us not only as friends but also as brothers.
