Prime Minister Edi Rama's mother Aneta Rama passed away on Saturday, August 1, the Prime Minister confirmed. She was 82 years old.

She passed away at 05.00 am in her home.

She was seek and for days was hospitalized but a week ago she left hospital to spent her last days at home.

"You was the light and the stone of our home where we grow up and become men and where we always were children. You have done everything for us, rest in peace Mom," wrote PM.
