On the occasion of International Children’s Day and the upcoming celebration of Eid al-Adha (Kurban Bajram), the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Republic of Albania organized a humanitarian donation to the SOS Children’s Village in Tirana on 3 June 2025.

 His Excellency, Mr. Anar Huseynov, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Republic of Albania, attended the event and handed over food boxes on behalf of the Embassy. He was warmly welcomed by Mrs. Mimoza Manaj, Director of the Tirana Program, Mrs. Arnita Ponari, Coordinator Family Based Care and Mrs. Luiza Skerja, Corporate Fundraising Expert of the SOS Children’s Village and given a brief tour of the premises, allowing him to gain a deeper understanding of the village’s activities, children’s living conditions and also met with the children and had a very friendly conversation with them.

During his visit, the Ambassador also expressed his sincere appreciation for the vital role the village plays in supporting vulnerable children. He also conveyed the Embassy’s readiness to further contribute and remain actively engaged in similar humanitarian initiatives.

 Availing this opportunity, the Embassy also extends its best wishes to the friendly people of Albania for a blissful and peaceful Kurban Bajram.
