Albania Ranks Second in Southern Europe Regarding Criminality
Albania has been overwhelmed by criminal events where drug trafficking, money laundering and assassinations have become a daily normality for the country, ranking us in the second place of the list of countries in the region in relation to criminality.
According to Numbeo, a professional data collection and analysis platform, Albania is ranked second in terms of the level of criminality in the whole of Southern Europe, being surpassed by a small margin only by Greece, which is ranked first.
Our country has a crime index of 47.01, while Greece, which ranks first, has 47.97. Meanwhile, Italy, which ranks behind us, has a crime index of 46.24, while other countries are ranked below, having a much lower index than us.
Only during the first 8 months of this year in Albania, 42 assassinations took place and 24 were killed and 23 injured. The most recent was the assassination attempt this morning on the Vlorë-Levan axis where Hakim Xhezo and Shpati Lena were killed.
