Albania recorded a high number of new Covid-19 cases on Saturday, with 120 in the previous 24 hours and four victims, health ministry has said.

The totals so far are 5396 cases, 161 deaths and 2962 recoveries in Albania.

Health Ministry informed that the victims are a woman 58-years-old from Kurbin, and another one 71-years-old from Lushnja and two men a 61-years-old from Durresi and a 67-years-old from Fieri.

"From 510 tests realized past 24-hours, 120 people resulted positive of Covid-19 nationwide. In two Covid-19 hospitals actually are hospitalizes 119 patients, 8 in intensive therapy and  6 intubated," ministry informed.

A spike in new cases was registered in Tirana, with 57 new cases confirmed, 15 in Durres, 8 in Kavaja, 7 in Kruja, 6 in Elbasan, 5 in Korce, 4 in Kurbi, Pogradec, 3 in Lushnje, Tropoje, 2 cases in Shkoder, Tepelene and just one case in Vlore, Divjake, Belsh, Perrenjas.
