Albania’s Covid-19 Cases Remain High as Death Toll Jumps

Albania's health authorities announced that in the past day 507 people have been confirmed positive with coronavirus, while 11 patients have died.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection calls on all citizens to respect the rules of hygiene, physical distancing and wearing a mask in any environment outside the home.

"We remind you that starting today the new antiCOVID measures have entered into force. The movement of citizens throughout the country will be restricted from 22:00 to 06:00 and at the same time bars, restaurants, bars will be closed, except the delivery service (apartment service).

In the last 24 hours, 2,384 tests have been performed in our country, of which 507 resulted positive. In the past day 140 citizens have recovered, bringing the number of cured to 12,493 since the pandemic outbreak. Currently in 3 COVID hospitals, 363 patients are being treated, 18 are in intensive therapy and 5 are intubated. 

Despite the efforts of doctors, in the last 24 hours, 11 citizens with Sars-Cov2 positive have lost their lives in COVID hospitals," announced health authorities.
