Albania reported on Wednesday the highest single day statewide infections of Covid-19. Health Ministry informed that 141 people have tested positive during the past 24-hours all over the country surpassing the last record of 140 set a day ago as three citizens have died. 

The victim, according to the Health Ministry expert, Rovena Daja are a 65-years-old from Elbasan and two citizens from Tirana, a 66-years-old and a 76-yeara-old.

Most of those new infected were registered in capital, Tirana with 51 new positve cases confirmed, followed by Shkodra and Kruja with 14 cases each, Lezha 12, Vlore 9, Durres 7, Lushnje 5, Kurbin, Elbasan, Klos 4 cases each, Korce and Divjake 3 each and two cases in Kavaje, Berat, Kamëz, Gramsh, and just one case in each Kukës, Vau i Dejës and Selenicë.

"116 persons are actually hospitalized at two Covid-19 hospitals, 20 of them are at intensive care while four of them have been put on ventilators," said the expert.
