Albanian Gang Members Sentenced to Jail for Beating Youngster to Death
Three members of an Albanian gang have been sentenced to prison after beating to death a young man who had tried to steal drugs from them.
The serious incident took place in 2021, when Tomosz Waga, 23, from Dagenham, east London, tried to steal cannabis from a bar in Cardiff.
The three Albanians were found guilty and sentenced respectively: Josif Nushi, 27, was sentenced to 20 years in prison, Mihal Dhana, 29, was sentenced to 16 years in prison, while Hysland Aliaj, 31, was sentenced to 10 years.
Waga's sister told Newport Crown Court that her brother's body was "thrown in a bin bag".
"Tomosz had his whole life ahead of him, he had a newborn son, who is now fatherless," she added.
All three men fled to Albania after the murder, but were extradited back to the UK to stand trial.
