Albanian weightlifters delivered standout performances at the ongoing Balkan Weightlifting Championship in the coastal city of Durrës, with two athletes setting multiple new regional records.

Following Briken Calja’s historic achievement — breaking three Balkan records after 25 years and securing a triple gold — fellow Albanian lifter Ertjan Kofsha matched the feat in the men’s 94kg category.

Kofsha claimed gold in all three disciplines, finishing the snatch at 165kg, the clean and jerk at 193kg, and the total at 358kg. With these lifts, he established three new Balkan records. The category featured three competitors in total.
