Albanian's Execution in Athens Bar Solved after Nearly Two Years

Greek authorities have been able to solve the murder of Ari Papa, who was executed in a bar in Sepolia area of Athens in May 2021.

Local media reported that the police have handcuffed an Albanian taxi driver, registered with four names and three surnames, as well as a Greek citizen who worked in the bar.

Hellenic authorities identified and arrested the Albanian taxi driver and the Greek accomplice, while they have also announced the wanted executioner from Tirana.

Reason for the murder was the clashes over drug trafficking and that the Albanian taxi driver thought that Ari Papa was a spy for the Greek police.

The Albanian taxi driver had taken over the planning and coordination of the killer's escape from the scene of the crime.

Together with the Greek collaborator, the Albanian helped the executioner with means of transport during the approach and then quickly escaping from the scene of the crime.

After the murder, the taxi driver cared to hide the crime weapon.

Nevertheless, Ari Papa was killed on May 30, 2021, after escaping 3 assassination attempts while he was part of a criminal group in Greece that operated in the fields of drug trafficking and murder.

Ari Kosta Papa was also known by the nickname "Little Ari".
