A 22-year-old man who was found unconscious two years ago after a dive in the sea and was hospitalized, has passed away while being treated at a clinic in Larisa.

Based on available informations, since last March he was transferred to a rehabilitation center in the area, where he breathed his last just before 10 o'clock last night.

According to witnesses at home, the 22-year-old Albanian was seriously injured while diving in the sea in July 2020, as a result of which he remained paralyzed throughout his body, despite the operations he underwent in a hospital in Thessaloniki.

Since March 2022, he was in a rehabilitation center in Larisa, but yesterday evening he was found unconscious by the nursing staff of the clinic, and despite the efforts of doctors, he could not survive.

Eleftheria newspaper has revealed that the family members of the unfortunate young man, without taking responsibility for the death of their loved one, have asked to be informed about the causes of death and in this context, the Police has ordered a forensic investigation, which is expected to be completed on Monday.
