Appeal Condemns Former Mayor with 2.8 Years in Jail
The Appeal Court against Corruption condemned with 2.8 years in jail, former Mayor of Durresi, Vangjush Dako, who is actually under house arrest security measure.
Prosecutor Sotir Kllapi required 4 years in jail, but Dako benefits for the shortened sentence, reduced in 2.8 years.
The decision was given, although Daku's lawyer required to be declared innocent.
Dako is accused for 'Abuse of duty', he was arrested on June 2023, but released few months later.
