Appeal Refuses Fredi Beleri's Request
Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime has rejected the request of the mayor of Himara for a lighter security measure.
Through his lawyers, Beleri contested the decision of the First Instance, which declared his arrest legal.
Two days ago, the GJKKO rejected Fredi Beleri's request to remove the "prison arrest" measure, that's why he addressed the Appeal Court.
The mayor of Himara has been in jail since May 12, when he was arrested on suspicion of vote-buying.
